This mod attempts to reflect the reality of 13th century Europe. The starting point of the journey is year 1257 AD and attempts to be as historically accurate as possible. From this point on the player and NPC lords shape this land and fight for supremacy and control of the continent.

Goals
- historically correct map with accurate trade routes
- historically accurate persons
- historically accurate castles
- realistic and engaging combat
- AI and player armies that reflect the reality of 13th century, no top tier troop armies, peasants and low trained troops are your basic soldiers. For the AI this is implemented through how they recruit soldiers, for the player upkeep help to enforce this rule.
- knight/nobility armour is unique. Each knight has a unique costume with a matching barded horse, each lord has a historically accurate coat of arms which is displayed on his equipment (wherever historical information has been found)
- visually pleasing environment

Definition Anno Domini
I tried looking under camp and report options but I've not been able to find it, Can someone please let me know where to go to view the troop tree list? . PerspectiveFlip: 'Anno Domini 1257' includes the 'Freelancer' minimod, which allows to play as a mook in a lord's army (instead of leading said army). ShownTheirWork: The optional lance recruitment system aims to recreate how army recruitment worked for medieval kings and feudal lords (non-lords are only able to use mercenaries). For the the release to be completed i still need to: 1. Fix a annoying bug at game start that causes the player to gain 22-26 levels. Wait for the other dev to finish rebalancing the items and muslim troop trees. Jul 21, 2019 Anno Domini 1257 is a total conversion mod for Mount&Blade: Warband set in 13th century Europe, Middle east and North Africa during the Crusades and Mongol Invasions. The game starts in March 1257AD, and is historically accurate to that point.
